So the summer weather in the Scottish Borders is maybe not going the way we would like, but that’s Scotland for you!

Luckily we’re mostly inside so you can plan ahead for an event or night out.

We’ve got a revamped menu available to download now, the photograph is one of our favourites on the new menu, Pan Fried Sea-bream Fillets with a Tomato, Caper, Raisin and Orange Dressing, Dill Potato Fritter and Wilted Spinach.

After the success of our whisky tasting last month we thought we’d do a gin tasting night on Friday 28th July, full details and pricing to follow but we’re looking to pair gin with an Indian menu. Drop us an email if you’d like  to know more.

And advance notice of  special night we have planned for Friday 25th August – the Bakehouse Summer Ball – adults only – tickets are £47.50 with champagne and canapés on arrival plus a 3 course dinner with champagne tasting. This is a black tie event and we will be offering prizes for the best dressed couple, male and female. Menu details a bit nearer the time.
